African PRINTS

I have grown up wearing Ankara which i love so much. There are just so many things you can do with it and these days I love to match it up with my normal jeans and tops! There are many ways you can do it:

1----- The Head Wrap!

I love this particular one cause i wear scarves most of the time when i am going out so its very fashionable pairing it up

2------- The Jacket/Top!

I also own this Jacket that my friend gave me which i love to wear with normal jeans. you can decide to make a normal ankara with jeans! it will also look great!

I will post up some more, when I am able to take photos! I also wanna do a blog of "My Fav Things!!"

Anyways

Love you guys,

Road To Becoming A UN Ambassador..

So does anyone know how you can become a UN Ambassador??

I have thought long and hard about this, then i decided to do research on it. I found out that there was absolutely nothing you can actually do to become one. You just need to know someone in politics. I mean this could be very easy or hard as I am a Nigerian after all.
Now I am gonna start with working in some charities, for starters my friends mom has a Sickle Cell Charity which i plan to work at during my internship in July and my brother and friends has one called Just A Drink for Life Charity which helps in building boreholes.
I am gonna try and start up one as well once I have finished with all this school wahala LOL! I would love to start an orphanage to help little children with food and shelter. I think that there's so much poverty in Nigeria its very sad!

Ok all this sounds like I am only doing it cause I feel it will be good for my UN Ambassador resume, it really is not! I have been doing this since i was a teenager.

There are some celebs that have been invited to become UN Goodwill Ambassador, one of which is Angelina Jolie whom i adore and love so much.

Pink Fleur's Wish list!

Hmm I was really thinking of the stuff i wanted to buy the other day and there were just so many, so thought I'd share with you guys!

The first is from my new love! who's personally inspired the name of this Blog! she's so gorgeous and now with her new perfume out I can't wait to own it!!!! Reb'l Fleur by Rihanna

I think the bottle is so unique and it will look great with my other perfumes.

Next on my list is MAC MINERALIZE BLUSH and MAC EYELASHES. I've always wanted to know what it will feel like to have those fake eyelashes on and i think it'll be retro and high fashion at the same time. Since this year i'm tryna change my look I think make up is a good start!

The Swarovski Maniac Necklace!!!

I love this Marc Jacobs Anna Maria Blouse

I have so much love for LV, i go by the motto "Thou shall love Louis Vuitton" so i will love to own all the luggages especially the Alzer 60 personalised of course! with ZSA on it! how cool will that look?

I never loved the color blue more, and i think that Mulberry has done it again with their Bayswater handbag its so gorgeous, and I can just see me walking around and looking overly blissful!

Alot of KG by Kurt Geiger shoes!!!!

Ellison by KG

Secret by Miss KG

Who doesn't love some UGGs???!!!

Snug by KG

Last on my list is the Bottega bag! Yes i said it, "THE". I say this cause it costs a fortune! I'm even scared t mention it on this.

Bottega-Veneta-Cigar-Cocco-Lave-Large-Cabat

This is a real wish list, Fashion related of course! But i might add to it as well!

Love you guys,

Pink Fleur xx

For Colored Girls....

I was up all night watching this movie and i cried so much! there was so much. There were different women in this movie and each one of them had their own story, one even more compelling than the next. i keep thinking to myself which on of them do i sympathise with the most? is it the one that had both her kids dropped off from the 5th floor window by her drunken war victim boyfriend? Or the one who got raped by someone she was just beginning to love? Or the one that found out she was married to "a man that loves to have sex with other men" (mind you not gay)?
Each time there are movies I watch that i feel change my life and this was definitely one of them. And as we already know Tyler Perry is a bit intense and there's always a message at the end of his movies.
So back to the question of who do i most sympathise with the most? I'm thinking just now to myself maybe i should tell you about all the characters first;

(1) the first is a woman who had two children killed by their own father so i will call her #1

(2) the second is a social worker who dealt with families that didn't want kids but she couldn't get pregnant because of something she did in college, this woman actually visited the woman with children. That is #1

(3) the third is a successful business woman who had a husband that liked to have sex with men. she was very hardcore and didn't take nonsense form anyone. And also #1 was her assistant.

(4) the forth was a dancer who loved everything about music. she met with a man on the train that she started to fall in love with and he raped her in her own home. she said
something like we wait for the stranger to come to your house to rape you. but he never came it was the man that you know that comes to do that.

(5) the fifth one the manager of the building where some of the characters stayed and she had been through alot and seen it all. she babysits for #1

(6) the sixth is a nurse who was in love with a man who was never there for her. he would go and come back whenever it suits him. she had a class that taught women about practicing safe sec and she needed donation from #3.

(7) the seventh is a young girl who had finished her high school and got a scholarship into a college. She attends #4's dance school. she got pregnant and was sent by her sister to get an abortion from a drunken/high lady down at harlem. she almost died.

(8) the eighth is a woman who hated her mother so much, she did everything to try and disappoint her. she was a bar attender who loved to have sex. she was #7's sister. lived in #5's building! As a child she was molested by her grandfather

(9) the ninth is a mother of #7 and #8 and she was also molested by her father. he told her she had to marry a white man so she could give him pretty grand children, cause she was to ugly to have pretty ones with a black man.

So after writing this i feel i can't choose who to sympathise with the most. Each and everyone of them had their own story and i think its really powerful on its own.

At the end of the movie there was a phrase they said that i really related to,

"My love is too (replace with any word that you feel is appropriate) to have thrown back in my face!"

here's what each of them said:

1--- (Kimberly Elise)
2--- Magic (Keri Washington)
3--- Complicated (Janet Jackson)
4--- Music (Anika Noni Rose)
5--- Sanctified (Phylicia Rashad)
6--- Beautiful (Loretta Devine)
7--- (Tessa Thompson)
8--- Saturday Night (Thandie Newton)
9--- (Whoopi Goldberg)

I think that "My love is too pure to be thrown back in my face"

Tell me your "My love is.." and who you sympathise with the most!

love you guys,

pinkfleur xx
